Terms of contract

Registration:

With your reservation and the rental contract you conclude a binding accommodation contract. We reserve the right to correct obvious mistakes, e.g. printing and calculation errors. Special requests, bookings under one condition and oral side agreements are only valid if they are confirmed by us in writing.

 

Montela Hotel & Resort reserves the right to charge any outstanding amounts or costs of damages incurred to the credit card on file after departure.

 

Deposit and payment:

The deposit is 50% of the arrangement price. This amount is due 10 days after booking at the latest. The remaining amount is to be paid 10 days before arrival by bank transfer. Any additional costs will be settled on site. The amounts of the deposit and balance payment are shown on your booking confirmation. Payment can be made by credit card or by bank or Internet bank transfer with SWIFT or IBAN code, which saves you the high costs of foreign bank transfers. All bank charges are at the expense of the client.

 

Special conditions / notes:

  • Extra beds are available in the form of pull-out sofas. These must be ordered in advance and noted on the booking confirmation. Likewise, the additional costs will be listed in the booking confirmation.
  • For bed linen, towels and kitchen linen, a fee of Fr. 30.- per person over 2 years of age will be charged per stay. It is obligatory to use Montela Hotel & Resort bed linen for hygienic reasons.
  • Dogs are allowed in the following houses: Hotel - House D, House Antares, Montela Pavillon.
  • All apartments are non-smoking: Please do not smoke in the apartment.

 

Arrival:

The guest has the right to use the rented property, including inventory and utensils. The guest is responsible for everything était belongs to the rental property. The guest is obliged to report all defects and damages that occur during the rental period immediately. Upon moving out, the guest must hand over the apartment with all accessories in the same condition as found on arrival, i.e. all furniture and fixtures in the same place, refrigerator and cupboards emptied, dishes and pots cleared of food remains and cleaned, etc. The guest is liable for any damage caused by him and his companions, whereby the proof of non-fault is the responsibility of the guest.

The rental property may not be occupied by more persons than stated in the booking confirmation. The maximum number of persons stated also includes (small) children, unless otherwise agreed with us. In the event of overcrowding, Montela Hotel & Resort has the right to refuse or charge for any excess persons.

 

Departure days:

Rental properties must be vacated no later than 9 a.m. (Montela Hotel - Suites by 11 a.m.) and left in a tidy condition to Montela Hotel & Resort. Please place room cards on the table. In the holiday apartments, we ask you to strip the beds, take all rubbish to the rubbish collection point, wash all dishes and put them in the cupboards. Apartments that are left in an unacceptable condition will be charged a reasonable surcharge on the agreed final cleaning price.

 

Cancellation of contract:

If the guest is unable to take the agreed holiday, he/she must inform Montela Hotel & Resort as early as possible. Cancellations of reservations and reductions in the number of participants or length of stay must also be notified to Montela Hotel & Resort in good time.

The following cancellation conditions apply:

  • free cancellation up to 5 days before arrival. After that, the guest pays 100% of the arrangement price.
  • during the high season: free cancellation up to 14 days before arrival. After that the guest pays 100% of the arrangement price.

Dates high season:

  • 20 July 2024 - 04 September 2024
  • 21 December 2024 - 03 January 2025
  • 25 January 2025 - 07 March 2025
  • 19 July 2025 - 22 August 2025
  • 20 December 2025 - 02 January 2026
  • 24 January 2026 - 06 March 2026
  • 18 July 2026 - 29 August 2026
  • 19 December 2026 - 01 January 2027

 

If the agreed rental period is not fully adhered to, the entire arrangement price for the agreed period must nevertheless be paid. In case of later cancellation and in case of no-show, the entire arrangement price will be charged. Changes of dates are considered as withdrawal and new registration. For adjustments to the booking after confirmation and deposit, Montela Hotel & Resort reserves the right to charge an administration fee of CHF 30 per change.

 

If Montela Hotel & Resort withdraws from the contract before the start of the trip (as a result of force majeure such as war. Cancellation costs insurance:

We recommend that you take out cancellation costs insurance together with your booking. Montela Hotel & Resort does not assume any liability towards the guest during the rental period. We recommend that our guests take out travel insurance from Allianz Travel. Travel insurance from Allianz Travel protects you from the consequences of unplanned events and ensures that you can enjoy your holiday without worries.

Liability:

No liability can be accepted for disruptions to services whose cause is beyond our control, in particular in the event of war, strike, natural disasters etc., or for disruptions to services in the area of transport, supply and disposal (e.g. water, energy, access roads), in particular if these disruptions are caused by force majeure or local climatic conditions.

 

You have the right to use the rented property, including inventory and utensils. You are responsible for the inventory, furniture, the holiday appartment or the building belonging to the rental object and are subject to the duty of care. In the event of possible damage or defects caused by you or your company during your rental period, you are obliged to report this immediately to Montela Hotel & Resort. You are liable for the damage or defects and must pay for them on or after departure, whereby the responsibility for proving that you are not at fault lies with you.
Montela Hotel & Resort decline any liability for theft or similar.

 

In case of fire - fire alarm:

Each apartment has a fire blanket and an information sheet on what to do in the event of a fire. This is also mentioned in the digital guest folder. Guests are asked to study this information and the escape routes indicated on arrival and to behave accordingly in the event of an alarm or emergency.

If a fire alarm is triggered and the smoke alarm is activated, the number 118 (fire brigade) or reception must be informed immediately.

If a false alarm is triggered due to negligence and the reception is not informed immediately, the guest is liable for the expenses of the fire brigade with a lump sum of CHF 400. This will be charged to the guest. In the event of further damage to property or personal injury, the guest shall also be liable if the false alarm or fire was triggered due to negligence or fault on the part of the guest.

 

Toys:

For our guests there are toys / board games available in the reception. We ask our guests to take care of them and to return them in full. Parents are responsible for the correct handling or supervision of the games. We decline any liability for improper handling of the games or for swallowing parts.

 

General:

In all other respects the provisions of the Swiss Code of Obligations shall apply. Place of jurisdiction is Brig. Both parties acknowledge this contract in duplicate by signing it.

These conditions are part of the rental contract.

 

Price conditions:

  • Final cleaning depending on the size of the apartment CHF 130 to CHF 330
  • Bed linen, towels and kitchen towels CHF 30 per person and stay from 2 years
  • Visitor's tax winter adults (from 16 years) CHF 4.50
  • Visitor's tax summer adults (from 16 years) CHF 7.50
  • Visitor's tax winter children (6-15 years) CHF 2.25
  • Visitor's tax summer children (6-15 years) CHF 3.50
  • Dog: CHF 10 per day

For children's prices, the date of birth at the time of arrival applies.
All prices include tax.
